AI assistant for Outlook email follow-ups

An AI assistant for Outlook follow-ups drafts the next email for you after a call, a quote or a silent enquiry, so the message is ready when you sit down to your inbox. FrugalPod’s Follow-up writer does this for Outlook. Each draft is personal, and by default nothing is sent until you approve it, so your name stays on every email.

In short
  • FrugalPod’s sales pod works with Outlook through three agents: Lead qualifier, CRM keeper and Follow-up writer.
  • Follow-up writer drafts personal follow-ups and quotes from your price book for you to approve.
  • Lead qualifier only scores inbound leads against your ideal customer. It never writes to anyone.
  • CRM keeper merges duplicates and fills gaps after every call, so the record matches what was said.
  • Outreach honours opt-outs, quiet hours and consent rules, and risky-looking messages are flagged before sending.

How access to Outlook works

When you connect Outlook, FrugalPod asks for the narrowest permissions each agent needs, and the connection starts read-only. A read-only Follow-up writer can still prepare drafts for you to copy or approve. You decide, agent by agent, whether it may do more. Emails, messages and record changes wait for approval in the FrugalPod app or in Slack until you choose to let a routine category go through on its own. You can revoke the connection at any time. Every action is recorded in the activity log. Read more on the FrugalPod security page.

Getting started with Outlook

  1. Create a free FrugalPod account. It starts with 100 free credits and no card is needed.
  2. Connect Outlook to the sales pod. The connection is read-only to begin with.
  3. Describe your ideal customer, your tone of voice and the price book Follow-up writer should quote from.
  4. Connect your CRM too if you use one, so CRM keeper can work from the same contacts.
  5. Read the first drafts, edit anything that does not sound like you and approve the ones you would send yourself.

How does FrugalPod help with follow-ups in Outlook?

You may know exactly what the follow-up should say and still run out of evening to write it. FrugalPod’s sales pod writes the first draft. Follow-up writer prepares the email or quote, Lead qualifier tells you which enquiries deserve attention, and CRM keeper keeps the contact record straight. By default you approve every email, in the app or in Slack, and a hard budget cap stops the pod from spending past what you set. You pay for finished work, not per seat. See pricing.

Common questions

Something missing? Write to admin@frugalpod.com and a person will reply.

Will emails go out from my Outlook account without me seeing them?

Not by default. Every email waits for your approval in the FrugalPod app or in Slack. Later you can decide that a routine kind of follow-up may go out on its own, but that is your choice and you can reverse it.

Does the Lead qualifier write to my leads?

No. Lead qualifier only scores inbound leads against your ideal customer, so you can see which ones to answer first. The drafting is done by Follow-up writer, and every draft waits for your approval.

Does it chase quotes that have gone quiet?

Follow-up writer can draft a nudge for a quote with no reply, and you decide whether to send it. Watching for stale deals across your whole pipeline is not one of the CRM keeper’s jobs. A custom agent can take that job on.

Does it respect people who asked not to be contacted?

FrugalPod’s outreach honours opt-outs, quiet hours and consent rules such as CAN-SPAM and TCPA, and risky-looking messages are flagged before sending. Rules vary by location, so check your own obligations with a qualified advisor.

What does it cost?

FrugalPod charges by the work agents do, in credits where 1 credit is 1 cent. You can start free with 100 credits, pay as you go at $1 per 100 credits, or choose Starter at $19 a month or Pro at $49 a month. Every plan includes every integration.
