Calendly follow-up automation with AI

Calendly follow-up automation with AI means the work that comes after a booking happens without you typing it: a score for the new lead, a draft email after the call, a re-book note for a no-show and a tidy CRM record. FrugalPod’s sales pod drafts these from your Calendly bookings. By default, nothing is sent or changed until you approve it.

How access to Calendly works

When you connect Calendly, FrugalPod asks for the narrowest permissions each agent needs, and the connection starts read-only. Reading bookings is enough for Lead qualifier to score them and for Follow-up writer to prepare drafts. You decide, agent by agent, whether anything may be changed. Emails and record changes wait for approval in the FrugalPod app or in Slack until you choose to let a routine category go through on its own. You can revoke the connection at any time, and the activity log records every action. See the FrugalPod security page.

Getting started with Calendly

  1. Create a free FrugalPod account. It starts with 100 free credits and no card is needed.
  2. Connect Calendly to the sales pod. The connection is read-only to begin with.
  3. Tell the pod which event types matter, such as a discovery call or a demo, and what a good fit looks like.
  4. Connect your email and CRM so the pod works from the same contacts.
  5. Review the first scores and drafts after a few real bookings, approve what is right and correct what is not.

How does FrugalPod fit around Calendly?

Calendly decides when a meeting happens. What you say afterwards is still up to you. FrugalPod’s sales pod picks up there. Lead qualifier scores the person who booked, Follow-up writer drafts the email or quote after the call, and CRM keeper updates the contact. By default you approve every email and record change, in the app or in Slack, and a hard budget cap stops the pod from spending past what you set. You pay for finished work, not per seat. Something missing? Write to admin@frugalpod.com and a person will reply.

Does FrugalPod book or reschedule meetings in Calendly?

No. Calendly handles the scheduling, and you keep using it that way. FrugalPod scores bookings, drafts follow-up emails and quotes, and updates your CRM. The HR pod’s Interview scheduler finds times and sends invites for interviews, which is a separate job.

What happens when someone does not show?

Follow-up writer can draft a short, friendly note offering a new time and your booking link. It waits for your approval before it is sent. You choose whether a no-show deserves one note or none.

Can it text people after a call?

Texting is not one of the sales pod’s listed jobs. Where FrugalPod sends SMS or WhatsApp messages, they go only to people who opted in, and outreach honours opt-outs, quiet hours and consent rules such as TCPA. Rules vary by location, so check with a qualified advisor.

Who writes the CRM notes after a call?

CRM keeper fills gaps and merges duplicates after every call, and each change waits for your approval by default. It does not monitor stale deals. A custom agent can take that on if you need it.

What does it cost?

FrugalPod charges by the work agents do, in credits where 1 credit is 1 cent. You can start free with 100 credits, pay as you go at $1 per 100 credits, or choose Starter at $19 a month or Pro at $49 a month. Every plan includes every integration.
