Information we collect

When you contact us

When you fill in the “Book a demo” or “Start free” form, we receive the details you enter: your work email address and, if you provide them, your company name, company size, the first team you want to hand work off for, and your preferred plan. We store these details securely and use them only to reply to you, set up your demo or invite, and follow up about FrugalPod. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and your message.

When you visit our website

To understand how our website is used, we run our own privacy-friendly analytics, hosted in our own AWS account. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and we do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

For each page you view, we record the page, the website or campaign that referred you, your browser, operating system and device type, your language, your approximate location (country, region and city, worked out from your IP address at the moment of the visit), the type of network you connect from (its public network number, so we can tell visits from cloud servers and automated tools apart from people), how long the page was open and how far you scrolled. We also note when someone submits a form, clicks an email link or follows a link to another website.

Your IP address is never stored. To count unique visitors, we combine it with your browser details and a random value that is replaced every day, and keep only a one-way scrambled result. The daily value is then deleted, so we cannot identify you or follow your visits from one day to the next. Analytics data is used only to improve our website. It is never sold, shared for advertising or combined with other information about you.

Like any website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers process technical information needed to deliver pages and keep them secure, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request.

When you use the FrugalPod service

We process account information, such as your name, work email and company, and the content agents work with from the tools you connect, such as records, documents and messages. You decide which tools are connected and what agents may access.

How we use information

  • To provide, operate and support the FrugalPod service.
  • To reply to your messages and set up the invites and demos you request.
  • To keep our website and service secure, detect abuse and fix problems.
  • To send service and account notices. We only send marketing emails if you ask to receive them, and every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • To meet legal obligations.

AI processing

Your data is never used to train FrugalPod’s models or our AI providers’ models. Our AI providers do not keep your data after a request is completed.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run FrugalPod, such as hosting and AI model providers, under contracts that limit their use of it; when you instruct us to, for example by connecting a third-party tool; or when the law requires it.

Customer data

For content that customers bring into the FrugalPod service, we act on the customer’s instructions as their service provider (also called a processor). If your organisation uses FrugalPod and you have questions about your data, please contact your organisation as well as us.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. You can export your data at any time, and when you ask us to delete it, deletion completes within 30 days, including backups.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what is needed. Read more on our security page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email admin@frugalpod.com. We will respond within the time the law requires, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Children

FrugalPod is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date below, and for significant changes we will give notice on this page or by email.
