AI for Mailchimp campaigns
FrugalPod’s marketing pod works with Mailchimp to research who is buying, write campaign emails in your voice and schedule them on a calendar. The connection is read-only by default. Nothing is sent, scheduled or changed in Mailchimp until you approve it, so your list stays in your hands and the newsletter still sounds like you.

How access to Mailchimp works
When you connect Mailchimp, FrugalPod asks for the narrowest permissions each agent needs, and the connection starts read-only. You decide, agent by agent, whether it may change anything in Mailchimp. Even then, emails and other changes wait for approval in the FrugalPod app or in Slack until you choose to let a routine category go out on its own. You can revoke the connection at any time. Outreach honours opt-outs, quiet hours and consent rules such as CAN-SPAM, and risky-looking messages are flagged before sending. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and is never used to train FrugalPod’s models or its AI providers’ models. The FrugalPod security page explains approvals and the activity log.
Getting started with Mailchimp

- Describe your brand voice, your offers and the topics you never touch, and share a few past campaigns you liked.
- Ask for one campaign, such as next month’s newsletter, and review the draft and subject lines.
- Edit what needs editing, approve what is right, and decide later which routine sends may go out without asking.

How does FrugalPod help with Mailchimp campaigns?
Mailchimp sends the email. The slow part is everything before it: working out what to say, writing it, and remembering to do it every month. FrugalPod’s marketing pod takes that desk work. The Researcher finds who is buying, the Copywriter writes in your voice, and the Channel manager keeps the calendar and never spends past your cap. You approve each send, and the activity log shows what happened and why. You pay for finished work, not seats, so see pricing for the details.

Will FrugalPod send emails from Mailchimp without asking?
No. Emails, messages and anything that spends money wait for your approval in the FrugalPod app or in Slack. The connection is read-only by default, and you can later let routine categories go out on their own if you choose to.
Can the agents write in my brand voice?
That is what the Copywriter is for. You describe your voice and offers and share past campaigns you liked, and it drafts in that style. You edit and approve every draft, so anything that sounds off can be fixed before it reaches your list.
Does it respect unsubscribes and consent rules?
Outreach honours opt-outs, quiet hours and consent rules such as CAN-SPAM, and risky-looking messages are flagged before sending. Rules differ by location, so check with a qualified advisor about your own list and region.
What does it cost?
FrugalPod charges by the work agents do, in credits where 1 credit is 1 cent. You can start free with 100 credits, pay as you go at $1 per 100 credits, or choose Starter at $19 a month or Pro at $49 a month. Every plan includes every integration.
